Brittain To Delay Rizeena Decision
UK trainer Clive Brittain is still deciding which big-race assignment star filly Rizeena (Iffraaj-Serena's Storm, by Statue of Liberty) will pursue next, reports racinguk.com. The last-start Gr1 Moyglare Stud Stakes winner will line up in either the Shadwell Fillies' Mile at Newmarket on September 27 or the Cheveley Park Stakes a day later at the same course. Briattain said: "Rizeena will certainly run in either the Cheveley Park or the Fillies' Mile. I will have a runner in both races but I won't make up my mind about which one until nearer the time." Brittain stated that he had been amazed at Rizeena's condition since arriving home from her Irish triumph. "She has put all her weight back plus another nine kilos, so I am very pleased with her physical progress," he said. "She has put on 20 kilos since her first run at Newmarket in April and now weighs in at 480 kilos, which would be a good weight for a colt."
