Sea Moon Gets Green Light

Friday, 13th September 2013

Connections of Gr2-winning UK import Sea Moon (Beat Hollow-Eva Luna, by Alleged) have informed Racing Victoria stewards that they intend to press ahead with his spring campaign, reports NZ Racing Desk. Sea Moon's immediate racing future was under a cloud when he pulled up sore on his Australian debut when sprawling at the start of the Makybe Diva Stakes last Saturday. The decision to carry on with his Melbourne Cup campaign was made after he reportedly worked well at owner Lloyd Williams Mount Macedon base. All going well, Sea Moon's next start is likely to be in the Gr1 Turnbull Stakes (2000m) at Flemington on October 5.
