Hussonet Fee Reduced By Cornerstone

Friday, 20th September 2013

Cornerstone Stud has announced that, effective immediately, it is reducing the fee of champion sire Hussonet (Mr Prospector-Sacahuista, by Raja Baba) to $16,500 inc. GST. With an outstanding book of mares for Dalakhani, the team at Cornerstone wanted to ensure that breeders are aware that Hussonet, the sire of Australian Gr1 winners Weekend Hussler (Caulfield Guineas, Newmarket Handicap, Coolmore Stud Stakes, Randwick Guineas, George Ryder, Oakleigh Plate & Underwood Stakes), Eagle Falls (Oakleigh Plate), Gold Trails (Railway Handicap), & Reaan (Blue Diamond Stakes), is now at such an approachable fee. "He is in fantastic shape and we really wanted to make him accessible to breeders who appreciate him for the Champion Sire that he is," explained Cornerstone principal Sam Hayes. "There is demand for his colts internationally and he has now notched up seven Gr1 winners as a broodmare sire. At a fee of $15,000 there is a generous amount of upside for breeders and traders," Hayes said. From 885 runners worldwide, Hussonet has sired an impressive 88 stakes-winners, including 56 at group level, for progeny earnings of nearly $50 million.
