Stamina Doubts For Intello

Friday, 20th September 2013

Andre Fabre has admitted he has stamina doubts about leading Arc hope Intello (Galileo-Impressionnante, by Danehill) that could see the Prix du Jockey Club winner redirected to Ascot for the Champion Stakes on October 19, reports racingpost.com. However, such a decision will depend on how the star French colt performs in Saturday's Gr3 Prix du Prince d'Orange (10 furlongs) at Longchamp. "Intello runs in the Prix du Prince d'Orange on Saturday and a decision will be made after that race between running in the Arc and the Champion Stakes," said Fabre. "The question is will he stay a mile and a half and his pedigree does hint that it might be a problem. Hopefully we will know more after Saturday." The German-bred son of Galileo has not been tested beyond 2100m when winning the Prix de Jockey Club (French Derby) over that journey in early June.
