Pletcher Works Stars Including Sharp Palace Malice

Monday, 23rd September 2013

Top US 3YO colt Palace Malice (Curlin-Palace Rumor, by Royal Anthem) was one of seven graded stakes winners that trainer Todd Pletcher put through their paces at Belmont on Saturday, reports drf.com. Pletcher said the Gr1 Belmont Stakes winner has impressed him with how well he is coping with his long preparation. "He's run in literally every dance all year, and he seems to be thriving on it, just getting better and better," Pletcher said. "His condition is unbelievable, the way he's held his weight. His mental attitude has been great as well." Palace Malice, who was fourth to Will Take Charge in the Travers Stakes at his most recent outing, will have his next start in the Gr1 Jockey Club Gold Cup at Belmont next Saturday. Pletcher also gave North America's best filly Princess Of Sylmar her final hit-out before next Saturday's Gr1 Beldame Stakes where she is likely to face her toughest test when she meets champion US mare Royal Delta.
