US Gr1-Winning Filly Sold To Japan
American Gr1-winning filly So Many Ways (Sightseeing-Happy Scene, by Dehere) has been sold to Katsumi Yoshida of Northern Farms in Hokkaido, Japan, for breeding purposes, reports bloodhorse.com. Owner Maggi Moss would not disclose the purchase price but did say in a release that the talented 3YO would not race again. Trained by Tony Dutrow, the Pennsylvania-bred filly won 5 of her 10 starts including the Gr1 Spinaway Stakes & Gr3 Schuylerville Stakes at Saratoga, and the Gr3 Eight Belle Stakes at Churchill Downs for earnings of US$717,148. So Many Ways bowed out a winner when claiming the Listed Charles Town Oaks last weekend. Moss said in the release: "I am confident that her new home with Mr. Yoshida, alongside Azeri, Zazu, Musical Romance, and other great mares, that she will be amongst royalty and taken care of in the same loving and wonderful environment."
