Gordon Lord Byron Primed For French Gr1

Friday, 27th September 2013

Irish trainer Tom Hogan says that top UK sprinter Gordon Lord Byron (Byron-Boa Estrela, by Intikhab) is in great order ahead of his bid for back-to-back Gr1 Prix de la Foret (7 furlongs) victories at Longchamp on Sunday week, reports racinguk.com. The 5YO delighted his trainer in his first workout on Tuesday since running out an impressive winner of the Gr1 Haydock Sprint Cup earlier this month. "He's in great form. He did a very good piece of work on Tuesday morning. It was his first bit of work since he won at Haydock," said the County Tipperary horseman. "Everything is spot on for the Foret." Gordon Lord Byron has won 9 of his 31 starts, including four stakes races, for earnings of £633,995.
