Waller Dual Gr1 Winner Set For German Shuttle
It has been announced that Gr1 Queen Elizabeth Stakes winner and freshman Karaka-based Westbury Stud stallion Reliable Man (Dalakhani-On Fair Stage, by Sadler's Wells) "is to be syndicated and will stand at Gestut Rottgen in Cologne, Germany, next year", reports bloodstock.racingpost.com. Also a Gr1 winner in the Northern Hemisphere, where he captured the prestigious Prix du Jockey Club under the tutelage of Alain de Royer-Dupre, the imposing 5YO stallion finished his racing career in stellar fashion in the all-conquering Chris Waller stable. Crispin de Moubray brokered the syndicate and commented, "Reliable Man is a very exciting stallion prospect. He proved himself to be one the leaders of an outstanding European Classic generation with his victory in the Prix du Jockey Club and confirmed his quality with a string of top class performances over a mile and a quarter and a mile and a half in France, England and Australia at three, four and five." He added, "His current owners and Gestut Rottgen believe that he offers a rare opportunity for European breeders to participate in, and profit from, making a top international stallion ... He is a fine-looking grey horse who combined the best qualities of his sire Dalakhani and of his damsire Sadler's Wells with those of his top-class family, founded by the European champion filly Fair Salinia."
