Samaready Wins Gr1 Moir Stakes

Monday, 30th September 2013

At Moonee Valley, Vinery shuttler More Than Ready (Southern Halo-Woodman's Girl, by Woodman) added a group success when 4YO filly Samaready (More Than Ready-Samar, by Secret Savings) scored impressively by 4-lengths for trainer Mick Price in the $450,000 Gr1 Moir Stakes (1200m) for 3YOs+, over 6YO gelding Buffering (Mossman-Action Annie, by Anabaa) & 5YO gelding Le Bonsir (Choisir-La Bella Dame, by Royal Academy). Former star juvenile Samaready was simply brilliant in scoring her first Gr1 victory in open company and took her record to 6 wins (including the Gr1 Blue Diamond Stakes, Gr2 Reisling Slipper Stakes, Gr3 Blue Diamond Prelude for fillies & Gr3 Heath Stakes) & a placing (the Gr1 Golden Slipper) from 8 starts for $1,584,800 earnings.
