War Front Son Retires To Stud

Wednesday, 2nd October 2013

Gr1 Maker's 46 Mile Stakes winner Data Link (War Front-Database, by Known Fact) has been retired and will join his sire War Front at Claiborne Farm, Kentucky, from 2014, reports bloodstock.racingpost.com. The Claude McGaughey-trained 5YO won 8 of his 18 starts including a course record win in the Gr2 Monmouth Stakes for lifetime earnings of US$831,335. The well-related Data Link is from the Known Fact mare Database, whose sister Vespers is the dam of Gr1 winner Hymn Book. Claiborne representative Bernie Sams said: "We are pleased to have Data Link at Claiborne. He was a very good, very consistent racehorse. He has an attractive pedigree, and it has no Mr Prospector until the fifth generation. I think he will be a good outcross for a lot of breeders."
