NZ Oaks Winner Making Good Progress

Friday, 4th October 2013

Four-year-old New Zealand mare More Than Sacred (More Than Ready-Danalaga, by Danehill) has delighted connections ahead of her return at Hastings this Saturday, reports NZ Racing Desk. Last season's Gr1 NZ Oaks heroine will resume in the Trinity Hill Premier Mile, a rating 85 event over 1600m, with her ultimate objective the Gr2 Waikato Times Gold Cup at Te Rapa on December 14. "It really is an ideal race for her and she has come back really well and her trial and her work has been great," Cambridge co-trainer Tony Pike said. More Than Sacred's last race was in the Gr1 ATC Oaks back in April where she finished ninth on an unsuitable wet track. She has won 3 of her 8 starts, as well as the Gr3 Sunline Vase, for NZ$231,375 earnings.
