Williams Mount Provides Pointer For Caulfield Cup

Jockey Craig Williams has a well deserved reputation for pulling the right rein when selecting mounts for big feature races. The well travelled hoop has found himself on the plum Caulfield Cup ride of Dandino, prepared by UK-based expat Italian trainer Marco Botti. Botti saddled Jakkalberry to place in last year's Gr1 Melbourne Cup, and like him, Dandino is owned by Australian Thoroughbred Bloodstock. Both arrived from the US having won the US St Leger at Arlington en-route. Dandino, whose regular rider Ryan Moore is expected to take the mount for the Melbourne Cup, worked exceptionally at Werribee yesterday morning.
