Kiwi Ex-Dairy Farmer Trains Sydney Winner
Retired dairy farmer Jim Litt, from Hawera in New Zealand, landed his first Sydney metropolitan winner on Wednesday when 4YO gelding Adaboy Ross won the Panucci Transport Handicap (1200m) at Warwick Farm, reports NZ Racing Desk. Litt acquired boxes at Warwick Farm four months ago and sent his son Richard, formerly foreman for John O'Shea, across to manage the stable until he arrives later this month. "Dad sent me over here when we started about four months ago and I'm loving it," Richard Litt said. "We're not here to break the record books but we love the game and it's been good to us." Adaboy Ross (Ad Valorem-Rosalba, by Encosta de Lago) took his record to 2 wins from 7 starts for $53,600 earnings.
