Politeness Out of Thousand Guineas
Talented 3YO filly Politeness (Street Sense-Berengaria, by Commands) will miss Wednesday's $500,000 Gr1 Thousand Guineas at Caulfield, reports racingnetwork.com.au. After consulting owner Phil Sly, trainer Robert Smerdon opted to send Politeness to the paddock. Smerdon said he felt Politeness would benefit from a spell and that she would come back a better filly in the autumn. Politeness, who ran third to Gregers last-start in the Gr2 Thousand Guineas Prelude, has won 2 of her 7 career outings for $55,300 earnings.
