Moore Expecting Big Show From Estimate

Friday, 18th October 2013

Ryan Moore is expecting Ascot Gold Cup winner Estimate (Monsun-Ebaziya, by Darshaan) to be tough to beat in the Gr3 British Champions Long Distance Cup (3200m) at Ascot on Saturday as long as she handles the likely soft ground, reports ukracing.com. The champion jockey, who has partnered The Queen's 4YO mare to all three of her victories at Ascot, says she is in great shape as she bids to maintain her unbeaten record at the Berkshire track. "She's improved every run of her career and we're quite happy with her," Moore said. "Obviously very soft ground would be a bit of an unknown, but hopefully she'll handle it and run a big race." Estimate provided one of the highlights of the English flat season when winning the Gr1 Gold Cup at Ascot in June, with the The Queen and the crowd standing as one to applaud the first royal victory in the time-honoured race.
