Nikolic Banned For Two Years

Friday, 18th October 2013

Jockey Danny Nikolic was yesterday warned off Australian racecourses for a period of two years by the Racing and Appeals Disciplinary (RAD) Board, reports news.com.au. Nikolic, 38, was warned off until September 30, 2015 and fined $10,000. The controversial jockey pleaded guilty to two charges of improper conduct when threatening steward Wade Hadley at two Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT) sittings in November last year. Judge Russell Lewis told Nikolic his behaviour had been "appalling'' and cited his "dismal past record". Nikolic gave no indication if he would appeal the decision.
