At Kyoto Racecourse in Japan, beautifully bred 3YO colt Epiphaneia (Symboli Kris S-Cesario, by Special Week) scored by 2.5-lengths for trainer Katsuhiko Sumii in the ¥233,360,000 Gr1 Kikuka Sho (3000m) for 3YO colts, over fellow colts Satono Noblesse (Deep Impact-Cry With Joy, by Tony Bin) & Bande (Authorized-Logica, by Priolo). Epiphaneia, from dual Gr1-winning mare Cesario, took his record to 5 wins from 8 starts.
