Fanshawe Excited About Approval's Future
UK trainer James Fanshawe is looking forward to next season with exciting mare Seal Of Approval (Authorized-Hannda, by Dr Devious) following her brilliant victory in the Champion Fillies And Mares Stakes at Ascot on the weekend, reports ukracing.com. The 4YO daughter of Derby winner Authorized, who had fallen at her previous start in the Gr2 Park Hill Stakes at Doncaster, put that aberration behind her with an authoritative 4-length win in Saturday's Gr1 feature. It is unlikely that the lightly raced but highly progressive Seal Of Approval will race again this season, but Fanshawe is excited about her prospects for next year. "I think the only reason she was a big price was because she'd fallen at Doncaster, as she'd done nothing wrong up until then," said Fanshawe. "I'm pretty sure that's her finished for the season as I can't see an awful lot left for her. There have been no other decisions other than she stays in training next year." He added, "She's won four out of her six races and has won a Group One by four lengths. She has the size and scope to suggest she can continue to progress."
