Intello Retires To Cheveley Park
The brief but brilliant racing career of French colt Intello (Galileo-Impressionnante, by Danehill) has come to an end with news the top-class 3YO has been retired to Cheveley Park Stud at Newmarket, reports sportinglife.com. The Andre Fabre-trained Intello retires the winner of 6 of 9 starts, including last season's Gr1 French Derby, for earnings of €1,421,778. His final racetrack appearance yielded a typically classy performance, finishing third behind outstanding French mare Treve in the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe at Longchamp on October 6. After standing at Cheveley Park in 2014-15 at a fee of £25,000, Intello will return to France to take up residency at the Head family's Haras du Quesnay stud. Cheveley Park managing director Chris Richardson told www.thoroughbreddailynews.com: "We are delighted to be standing such a talented racehorse as Intello, who compliments and expands the portfolio of outstanding stallions currently standing at Cheveley Park Stud." Intello is beautifully bred being by champion stallion Galileo from the Gr1-placed Danehill mare Impressionnante.
