Kingston Hill Supplemented For Juvenile Gr1
Undefeated UK juvenile Kingston Hill (Mastercraftsman-Audacieuse, by Rainbow Quest) was supplemented on Monday for the £200,000 Gr1 Racing Post Trophy (8 furlongs) at Doncaster on Saturday, reports racingpost.com. Trainer Roger Varian and owner Paul Smith paid the £17,500 late fee to include Kingston Hill in the prestigious mile contest, a race won by subsequent Derby winners Camelot (2011), Authorized (2006) and Motivator (2004) in the last ten years. "Kingston Hill has been supplemented for the Racing Post Trophy. He is in great form and hasn't put a foot wrong since winning the Autumn Stakes," Varian posted on his website. "He has shown on both his starts that he handles cut in the ground and we feel that there is more to come from him. He has the right profile for a race such as the Racing Post Trophy." Kingston Hill, who is out of the Gr3 winning Rainbow Quest mare Audacieuse, has won his only two starts for earnings of £27,212. Among the other entries for the race is the Aidan O'Brien-trained Fastnet Rock colt Red Rocks Point. Red Rocks Point is from Gr1 Yorkshire Oaks winner My Emma (Marju) and is a half-brother to stakes winners Moments Of Joy, Light Of Morn & Admiral Of The Red.
