Ferguson Says Magnier Feud In Past
Recently retired Manchester United Football Manager Sir Alex Ferguson says that his well-publicised falling out with Coolmore Stud Principal John Magnier over the ownership of champion racehorse and stallion Rock Of Gibraltar was due to a "misunderstanding on both sides", reports racingpost.com. Ferguson claims in his book 'Alex Ferguson, My Autobiography', released on Tuesday, that he and Magnier are now "on good terms" following their row and subsequent legal battle. "My understanding was that I had a half share in the ownership of the horse; theirs was that I would be entitled to half the prize money. But it was resolved," Ferguson wrote. "The matter was closed when we reached a settlement agreeing that there had been a misunderstanding on both sides."
