Gamblin' Guru Wins Listed Geelong Classic

At Geelong in Victoria, multiple Gr1-winning Darley stallion New Approach (Galileo-Park Express, by Ahonoora) added a group success when 3YO gelding Gamblin' Guru (New Approach-Glory Guru, by Fusaichi Pegasus) scored by 0.3-length for trainers Leon Macdonald & Andrew Gluyas in the $120,000 Listed Geelong Classic (2200m) for 3YOs, over 3YO colt Tupac Amaru (Street Cry-Peruvian, by Diktat) & fellow 3YO gelding Throw The King (Elvstroem-Zabelette, by Zabeel). This was Gamblin' Guru's first stakes victory and took his record to 2 wins & 3 placings (including the Listed SAJC Hill Smith Stakes) from 8 starts for $149,700 earnings. Gamblin' Guru will be spelled immediately in preparation for the autumn.
