Arqana October Yearling Sale Day-4: Record Turnover Up 28%
On the fourth and final day of the Arqana October Yearling Sale at Deauville in France, 61 yearlings sold for €962,500 at an average price of €15,779 and a median of €14,000. The clearance rate was 80 per cent. This year's sale was expanded to four days so there is no corresponding 2012 session. The top priced lot of the day was a Medicean colt from the Invincible Spirit mare Peach Pearl which was knocked down to French bloodstock agent Alain Decrion for €68,000. This year's sale achieved unprecedented figures with all key indicators setting new records. Turnover for the four days set a new benchmark of €15,031,500, an increase of 28 per cent on the previous record of €11,740,500 achieved in 2007.
