Any Given Saturday Moves To Pennsylvania

Wednesday, 30th October 2013

Gr1 winner Any Given Saturday (Distorted Humor-Weekend in Indy, by A.P. Indy) will relocate from Darley's US headquarters at Lexington, Kentucky, to Pin Oak Lane Farms near New Freedom in Pennsylvania for the 2014 breeding season, reports bloodhorse.com. The 9YOs service fee will be US$5,000, reduced from US$7,500. "Any Given Saturday will be an outstanding addition to our farm and to the breeding industry in Pennsylvania," said Pin Oak Lane principal Dr William J Solomon. "He continues to show the ability to throw quality winners and I expect great support from breeders in our state." Any Given Saturday was a top-class 3YO, winning the 2007 Gr1 Haskell Invitational by 4.5-lengths defeating fellow Gr1 winners Hard Spun & Curlin. The son of Distorted Humor has hitherto produced 9 individual stakes winners, including the undefeated filly Princess Arabella, winner of the Sunland Park Oaks and who fetched US$725,000 at this year's Keeneland January Mixed Sale.
