Star Kiwi Mare Impresses In Cup Gallop

Wednesday, 30th October 2013

Gr1-winning New Zealand mare Silent Achiever (O'Reilly-Winning Spree, by Zabeel) worked strongly under her Melbourne Cup rider Dwayne Dunn at Flemington on Tuesday morning, reports NZ Racing Desk. Silent Achiever impressed trainer Roger James, along with stable mate Zonza, who is preparing for Saturday's Gr1 Myer Classic, when galloping on the course proper. "It just shows she's right on track for Tuesday," James said. "Her work was as good as she can go so she's coming good at the right time." Silent Achiever, who will carry 52.5kg in the Cup, has been a model of consistency this campaign without winning, with her last-start eighth-placing in the Gr1 Caulfield Cup bringing her to peak fitness for Tuesday's big race.
