O'Brien Targets Big Guns At Kingman

Thursday, 1st May 2014

Meanwhile, Aidan O'Brien could be represented fourfold in Saturday's 2,000 Guineas (8 furlongs) with high-class 3YOs War Command, Giovanni Boldini and Oklahoma City also entered for the Newmarket Classic, reports cambridge-news.co.uk. However, it seems increasingly likely that Ballydoyle's challenge to Kingman will comprise of only War Command and the highly touted Australia. O'Brien said: "We are happy with both Australia and War Command and it looks like both will run on Saturday," said O'Brien. "We'll finalise things after they go through all their tests on Wednesday. That's the way we're thinking at the moment." O'Brien added that Tapestry and Bracelet were intended runners in the fillies' equivalent, the 1,000 Guineas, on Sunday.
