Al Kazeem Back In Training

Thursday, 8th May 2014

Last season's triple Gr1 winner Al Kazeem (Dubawi-Kazeem, by Darshaan) has returned to training with Roger Charlton after experiencing fertility issues at stud, reports racingpost.com. The son of Dubawi was bought by the Queen after his retirement from racing and syndicated among some of the world's leading breeders, with Sheikh Joaan Al Thani acquiring a share. He began his stallion career at the Royal Studs in Sandringham this year, but failed to reach required fertility levels and was the subject of an insurance claim. Al Kazeem enjoyed a stellar season last year under the care of Charlton, winning the Gr1 Tattersalls Gold Cup followed by victories in the Gr1 Prince of Wales's Stakes and Gr1 Coral-Eclipse.
