Haunui Service Fees Unchanged

Thursday, 8th May 2014

The 2014 service fees for Haunui Farm's leading New Zealand-based sire of juveniles Iffraaj (Zafonic) and Showcasing (Oasis Dream), currently Europe's leading first season sire, will remain unchanged at $15,000 + GST and $7500 + GST respectively, reports NZ Racing Desk. "Setting service fees is always a delicate process and we are mindful, more than ever, of the changing nature of the New Zealand market and the importance for New Zealand breeders to have every opportunity to make a return on their investment," stud master Mark Chitty said. Iffraaj has produced six Gr1 performers worldwide and in the current racing season he sits atop the New Zealand's 2YO sires' table by number of winners. First season sire Showcasing created a strong impression with his first Southern Hemisphere yearlings selling up to $180,000 at Karaka this year. His first crop of 2YOs in the Northern Hemisphere has got off to a flying start, with three winners and three placegetters from seven starters to date.
