Blue Gum Farm Announces Service Fees

Friday, 9th May 2014

Victoria's Blue Gum Farm has announced the service fees for its roster of stallions for the upcoming breeding season. New to its 2014 roster is the high-class Irish-bred stallion Glass Harmonium (Verglas). Winner of the Gr1 Mackinnon Stakes and Gr2 Eagle Farm Cup, the Michael Moroney-trained grey earned in excess of $1.6 million and defeated numerous top-class gallopers including Gr1 winners Green Moon, Efficient, Foreteller, Alandi, Crowded House, Ocean Park, Shoot Out and Southern Speed. Glass Harmonium covered a small private book of mares last season to test his fertility and he returned excellent results. The son of Verglas should prove popular among breeders as he boasts a wonderful European lineage. His dam, Spring Symphony (Darshaan), is a full-sister to Gr2 Voltigeur Stakes winner Hard Top and a half-sister to the outstanding 4-time Gr1 winner Conduit (Dalakhani), winner of the King George VI And Queen Elizabeth Stakes, Englis St Leger, and two-time winner of the Breeders' Cup Turf. This is also the family of multiple Gr1-winning stallion Spectrum. Blue Gum's 2014 GST-inclusive roster is:

  • Canford Cliffs - $13,750
  • Red Arrow - $8,800
  • Turffontein - $7,700
  • Glass Harmonium - $6,600
  • Elvstroem - $4,400
