Shock Return For Star Galloper Al Kazeem
Brilliant UK racehorse Al Kazeem has been brought out of retirement for a return to the racetrack, reports racingpost.com. The triple Gr1-winning son of leading sire Dubawi has suffered fertility issues at stud and is now the "subject of an insurance claim" after getting approximately 25 mares in foal during his first season. Al Kazeem was purchased by Queen Elizabeth II following his retirement, with the stallion's syndicate members including Sheikh Joaan Al Thani. Al Kazeem is understood to have been bought by his original owner-breeder John Deer from the insurance company and is back in work with trainer Roger Charlton for an as-yet unspecified program.
