Noble Mission Wins Gr3 Huxley Stakes

Monday, 12th May 2014

At Chester in the UK, former shuttler and triple Gr1-winning champion European sire Galileo (Sadler's Wells-Urban Sea, by Miswaki) added a group success when 5YO entire Noble Mission (Galileo-Kind, by Danehill) scored by 2.25-lengths for trainer Lady Cecil in the £60,000 Gr3 Huxley Stakes (10.5 furlongs) for 4YO+, over 4YO entire Telescope (Galileo-Velouette, by Darshaan) & 6YO entire Danadana (Dubawi-Zeeba, by Barathea). The beautifully bred Noble Mission, a brother to the mighty Frankel, took his record to 6 wins (including the Gr3 Gordon Richards Stakes, Gr3 Gordon Stakes & Listed Tapster Stakes) and 7 placings (including the Gr3 John Porter Stakes & Gr3 St Simon Stakes) from 17 starts for £269,884 earnings. "He's much more mature, mentally and physically now, and that was very pleasing," said Teddy Grimthorpe, racing manager for owner Khalid Abdullah. "He's never been out the frame and he's five; I wouldn't mind a stable full of Noble Missions. All options are open to him."
