Rhythm To Spare Wins Gr3 RA Lee Stakes

At Morphettville in South Australia, Waikato Stud's Gr1 Australian Guineas-winning stallion Pins (Snippets-No Finer, by Kaoru Star) added a group success when 4YO gelding Rhythm To Spare (Pins-Stanica, by Zabeel) scored by 3.5-lengths for trainer Michael Moroney in the $150,000 Gr3 RA Lee Stakes (1600m) for 3YO+, over 5YO gelding Starkiato (Starcraft-Okiato, by Flying Spur) & 5YO mare Gig (Commands-Busking, by Encosta de Lago). This was the first stakes victory for Rhythm To Spare who took his record to 6 wins and 4 placings (including the Gr3 Grand Prix Stakes) from 16 starts for $334,522 earnings. Rhythm To Spare was a NZ$100,000 purchase by Paul Moroney Bloodstock at the 2011 NZ Bloodstock Premier Yearling Sale form the draft of Pencarrow Stud.
