At Ascot in the UK, former shuttler and triple Gr1-winning champion European sire Galileo (Sadler's Wells-Urban Sea, by Miswaki) added a black-type success when 6YO entire Gatewood (Galileo-Felicity, by Selkirk) scored by 0.5-length for trainer John Gosden in the £45,000 Listed Buckhounds Stakes (12 furlongs) for 4YO+, over 4YO entires Pether's Moon (Dylan Thomas-Softly Tread, by Tirol) & Elidor (Cape Cross-Honorine, by Mark Of Esteem). Gatewood took his record to 6 wins (including the Gr3 Geelong Cup & Listed Wolferton Handicap) and 8 placings (including the Gr3 Cumberland Lodge Stakes) from 21 starts for £478,945 earnings.
