Lucky Nine Wins Singapore Gr1 Krisflyer International Sprint

Also at Kranji in Singapore, triple Gr1-winning former Darley shuttler Dubawi (Dubai Millennium-Zomaradah, by Deploy) celebrated a Gr1 victory when Irish-bred 7YO gelding Lucky Nine (Dubawi-Birjand, by Green Desert) scored by 2.5-lengths for Hong Kong-based trainer Caspar Fownes in the S$1 million Gr1 Krisflyer International Sprint at Kranji in Singapore. Making it back-to-back victories in the event, Lucky Nine defeated Australian-bred 5YO geldings Emperor Max (Holy Roman Emperor-Maxerelle, by Strategic) & Zac Spirit (Flying Spur-Kidman, by Quest for Fame). Lucky Nine took his record to 14 wins (including the Gr1 HKJC Queen’s Queen’s Silver Jubilee Cup, Gr1 Hong Kong Classic Mile & Gr1 Hong Kong Sprint, Gr1 Queen's Silver Jubilee Cup & Gr1 Chairman's Sprint Prize) & 14 placings (including last start Gr2 HKJC Sprint Cup, Gr1 Hong Kong Classic Cup, Gr1 BMW Champions Mile & Gr1 Manikato Stakes) from 41 starts for $6,642,404 earnings.
