At Monmouth Park in the US, Gr1-winning Darley shuttler & 2007 Gr1 Kentucky Derby runner-up Hard Spun (Danzig-Turkish Tryst, by Turkoman) added a group success when 4YO entire Hard Enough (Hard Spun-Grecian Wings, by Mr Greeley) scored by 0.75-length for trainer Bobby Dibona in the US$100,00 Gr3 Red Bank Stakes (8 furlongs) for 3YO+, over fellow 4YO entire Winning Cause (Giant's Causeway-Raffishing Look, by Kingmambo) & 6YO entire Slim Shadey (Val Royal-Vino Veritas, by Chief's Crown). Hard Enough took his record to 5 wins (including the Listed Restoration Stakes) and 4 placings (including the Gr3 Kent Stakes) from 19 starts for US$222,505 earnings.
