Newhaven To Offer Top Quality Magic Millions Draft

Wednesday, 21st May 2014

Leading thoroughbred nursery Newhaven Park will offer buyers an outstanding draft of fillies and mares at the upcoming Magic Millions National Broodmare Sale which runs from Wednesday 28th May to 1st June. Newhaven will no doubt be hoping to replicate the outstanding results it achieved at the Gold Coast in January when it sold the sale topping Redoute's Choice-Hades colt for $1 million. Some of the highlights of its draft are:

  • Lot 602 – 3YO filly Camporella (Exceed And Excel-Really Flying, by Real Quiet). The Gr3 WATC Sires' Produce Stakes winner hails from the family of Gr2 winner Twiglet, dam of Gr1 winning sires Easy Rocking and Fairy King Prawn.
  • Lot 870 – 5YO mare Fiesole (Fraar-Satnav, by Canny Lad). Two time winner who is a half-sister to Gr2 Thousand Guineas Prelude winner and Gr1-placed filly Gregers, and the promising Girl Guide, who was third in the Gr3 Proud Miss Stakes at Morphettville. This is the family of Gr1 Coolmore Classic winner Ofcourseican and Gr1-winning South African colt Givemethegreenlight. Served by Snitzel.
  • Lot 683 – 5YO mare Suite Annie (Hotel Grand-Action Annie, by Anabaa). Suite Annie should prove popular among buyers being a half-sister to three-time Gr1 winning sprinter Buffering and hailing from the family of Gr1 Woodbine Canadian International winner Relaxed Gesture.
  • Lot 1469 – 4YO mare Chintz (Savabeel-Charmed, by O'Reilly). Talented New Zealand mare who won 6 of her 17 starts, including the Gr2 Rich Hill Mile. She was also placed at Gr1 level twice, when runner-up to the exciting Albany Reunion in the Easter Handicap and third to Recite in the New Zealand Thoroughbred Breeders' Stakes.
  • Lot 1037 - 4YO mare Nobody Gets (Forestry-Nice Dancing, by Bering). Winning mare served by Commands who descends from the outstanding Franfreluche family of Gr1-winning champion Australian stallions Encosta de Lago and Flying Spur.
