Beauty's Beast Sold To Australia

Thursday, 22nd May 2014

Promising New Zealand gelding Beauty's Beast (Guillotine-Black Beauty, by Black Minnaloushe) has been sold to Australian interests, reports NZ Racing Desk. Trained at Te Rapa by David Greene for his breeders Windsor Park Stud, Beauty's Beast marked himself as a genuine Gr1 contender for the spring when scoring a strong win in the Listed South Pacific Classic at Randwick in April. "He's been sold to clients of Danny O'Brien's stable," Greene said. "It's disappointing to lose a horse of his quality, but unfortunately that's the nature of the game we're in." He added, "He's clearly the best horse I have trained and he's still got plenty of upside to him. There's no reason at all why there's not a Gr1 somewhere with his name on it." By Windsor Park's promising young sire Guillotine, Beauty's Beast hails from the family of English Oaks and Racing Post Trophy winner Noblesse.
