Teeley Trifecta At MM National Weanling Sale
Vindicating the pre-sale expectations surrounding the Arrowfield Stud-consigned draft of weanlings owned by Teeley Assets, a trio of weanlings from the reduction filled the top three prices on an exciting opening day of the 2014 Magic Millions National Sale Series. Topping the session was a Fastnet Rock colt (Lot 222) which was knocked down for $600,000 to John Moynihan (Stonestreet Stables) & Tom Magnier (Coolmore Stud). Two Teeley Assets weanlings by Stratum fetched high prices as well: the filly from group winning mare Precious Lorraine was sold to Arrowfield Stud for $425,000, while the filly from stakes-placed Quench The Thirst was knocked down to New Zealand's Jamieson Park for $400,000. The Teeley Reduction of weanlings proved extremely popular with buyers, grossing almost $3 million with an average price of over $105,000.
