Tuesday, 27th May 2014

At The Curragh in Ireland, former shuttler and triple Gr1-winning champion European sire Galileo (Sadler's Wells-Urban Sea, by Miswaki) celebrated a Gr1 success when 5YO entire Noble Mission (Galileo-Kind, by Danehill) scored by 1.25-lengths for trainer Lady Cecil in the €210,000 Gr1 Tattersalls Gold Cup (10.5 furlongs) for 3YO+, over 4YO entire Magician (Galileo-Absolutelyfabulous, by Mozart) & 5YO mare Euphrasia (Windsor Knot-Bishop's Lake, by Lake Coniston). This was the first top-flight victory for Noble Mission who took his record to 7 wins (including the Gr3 Gordon Richards Stakes & Gr3 Huxley Stakes) and 7 placings (including the Gr3 John Porter Stakes) from 18 starts for £375,325 earnings. Noble Mission joins his champion full-brother Frankel as the second individual Gr1 winner for stakes-winning Danehill mare Kind.
