Weekend To Remember For Bullet Train Family
The reputation of Danehill mare Kind as one of the world's most valuable broodmares received yet another boost over the weekend with the impressive stakes victories of her offspring Noble Mission and Joyeuse. Noble Mission and Joyeuse are both siblings to the mighty Frankel, as is Gr3 Lingfield Derby Trial winner Bullet Train who stands at Bowness Stud near Young, NSW. Saturday's Haydock Park meeting in England witnessed Bullet Train's half-sister Joyeuse (Oasis Dream-Kind, by Danehill) record the second stakes victory of her career when taking out the Listed Cecil Frail Stakes (6 furlongs). The 3YO daughter of Oasis Dream was already one of four individual stakes winners produced by the remarkable Kind before her latest win, having landed a Listed event at Salisbury as a 2YO. Sunday's renewal of the Gr1 Tattersalls Gold Cup at The Curragh was responsible for an even more significant update to Bullet Train's catalogue page when his 5YO three-quarter brother Noble Mission (Galileo-Kind, by Danehill) led from start to finish in the prestigious event to defeat Breeders' Cup Turf winner Magician. A five-time stakes winner even before his maiden victory at Gr1 level, Noble Mission became Kind's second individual Gr1 winner joining his illustrious full-brother Frankel. Bullet Train, Frankel, Noble Mission and Joyeuse are representatives of one of the most pre-potent female families developed by the Juddmonte Farms operation of Prince Khalid Abdullah. Speaking after Noble Mission's Gr1 victory, Juddmonte's racing manager Teddy Grimthorpe summed up the day when commenting: "It is a huge win — this is a special day for all of us."
