Cecil Considers Noble's Next Mission

Wednesday, 28th May 2014

Noble Mission (Galileo-Kind, by Danehill), the year-younger sibling to champion Frankel, returned to Warren Place on Monday night following his defeat of Breeders' Cup Turf winner Magician in Sunday's Gr1 Tattersalls Gold Cup at The Curragh, reports racingpost.com. Lady Cecil, who trains the 5YO entire for Khalid Abdullah, will consult with his racing manager Teddy Grimthorpe regarding future plans, but a step back up in trip to a mile and a half will be considered. "We were all thrilled by Noble Mission's victory in Ireland. It means so much on a number of levels," Lady Cecil said on her website. "Noble Mission returned to the stable on Monday evening. He seems to have taken his race very well and ate up on Sunday night." She added, "While we have not decided on his next race, he has certainly earned the right to continue at Group 1 level. He is entered in the Eclipse and will be put in other top-class races at a mile and a quarter."
