Monday, 4th August 2014

At Saratoga racecourse in the US, Darley's 2006 Champion 2YO Colt & 2007 Gr1 Kentucky Derby-winning shuttler Street Sense (Street Cry-Bedazzle, by Dixieland Band) celebrated a Gr1 triumph when 3YO filly Sweet Reason (Street Sense-Livermore Leslie, by Mt. Livermore) scored by 1-length for trainer Leah Gyarmati in the US$500,000 Gr1 Test Stakes (7 furlongs) for 3YO fillies, over fellow 3YO fillies Miss Behaviour (Jump Start-Successful Romance, by Successful Appeal) & Little Alexis (Mr Greeley-Dream Child, by Giant's Causeway). This was the third Gr1 victory for Sweet Reason who took her record to 5 wins (including the Gr1 Acorn Stakes & Gr1 Spinaway Stakes) and 2 placings (including the Gr1 Frizette Stakes) from 8 starts for US$1,229,000 earnings. "I'm thrilled that she's continuing on to be a good horse in her 3-year-old year," trainer Leah Gyarmati told bloodhorse.com. "It seems like she's got a nice career going and keeps improving. It's exciting."
