Sacred Falls' Brother Wins Trial

Wednesday, 6th August 2014

Sacred Falls' younger brother showed he has inherited a good deal of the family ability when winning a trial at Te Teko yesterday, reports NZ Racing Desk. Bred and raced by Waikato Stud, the unnamed 4YO is trained at Cambridge by Tony Pike and impressed with his effort to win an 800m heat. "He's a completely different style of horse to Sacred Falls, but he's always showed us ability," Pike's father Wayne said. "He's a good-looking horse who has been immature." By champion New Zealand sire O'Reilly from Redoute's Choice mare Iguazu's Girl, Sacred Falls is a three-quarter brother to Gr3 winner Splashing Out, dam of Gr2  Angus Armanasco winner Shopaholic. Other family members include 8-time stakes winning mare Lady Iguazu (2nd dam), Victoria Derby winner Omnicorp, Gr2 Sandown Cup winner Pharostan, and Gr2 winner Crimson, dam of stakes winners Abidewithme and Miss Scarlatti.
