O'Brien Predicting Bigger Things For JFK

Monday, 11th August 2014

Meanwhile, Dick Whittingon's beautifully bred Ballydoyle stable-mate John F Kennedy (Galileo-Rumplestiltskin, by Danehill) broke through for his maiden success with an impressive 4.25-length win in the Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund Maiden at the Curragh. Trainer Aidan O'Brien told Sky Racing. "He's still very babyish. Mentally he's still a bit immature, although physically he's mature." he added, "The penny never dropped the first day at Leopardstown. He's a very smart colt, and we'll probably take our time with him." A 2YO son of Galileo out of top-class race mare Rumplestiltskin, John F Kennedy is a full-brother to talented filly Tapestry, winner of the Gr2 Debutante Stakes and runner-up in the Gr1 Irish Oaks and Gr1 Moyglare Stud Stakes.
