First Foal For Mulaazem

Monday, 18th August 2014

The first foal of Emirates Park's exciting young stallion Mulaazem (Dubai Destination-Watchful, by Danehill) was born at its Hunter Valley stud at Murrurrundi last week. The magnificent bay-brown colt is from the unraced Danewin mare Crystal Belle, a half-sister to Queensland stakes winner Single Rose. A lightly-raced half-brother to champion 2YO and 3YO Sepoy, Mulaazem was an impressive winner of the Gr2 MRC Autumn Stakes in February last year before injury forced his premature retirement to stud after just seven starts. Mulaazem hails from one of the most tried and tested female families in the Australian Stud Book. A great-grandson of Jesmond Lass, his close relations include Gr1 winners Guelph, Camarilla, Camarena, Canny Lass, Canny Lad and Golden Slipper-Blue Diamond Stakes winner Sepoy. Mulaazem will stand at Emirates Park Victoria for his second stud season at an advertised service fee of $7700 (inc GST).
