Hardest Core Wins US Gr1 Arlington Million

At Arlington Park in the US, Gr1-winning Darley shuttler & 2007 Gr1 Kentucky Derby runner-up Hard Spun (Danzig-Turkish Tryst, by Turkoman) celebrated a Gr1 success when unheralded 4YO gelding Hardest Core (Hard Spun-Lillybuster, by Housebuster) scored by 1-length for trainer Edward Graham in the US$1 million Gr1 Arlington Million Stakes (10 furlongs) for 3YO+, over 4YO entire Magician (Galileo-Absolutelyfabulous, by Mozart) & 7YO gelding Side Glance (Passing Glance-Averami, by Averti). This was the first graded stakes victory for Hardest Core who took his record to 6 wins (including the Listed Cape Henlopen Stakes) and 2 placings from 11 starts for US$842,580 earnings.
