Memsie New Mission For Boban

Friday, 22nd August 2014

Sydney's loss is expected to be Melbourne's gain with top miler Boban (Bernardini-Kenbelle, by Kenmare) likely to open his spring campaign in the Gr1 Memsie Stakes (1400m) at Caulfield on Saturday week, reports NZ Racing Desk. Trainer Chris Waller decided to withdraw the three-time Gr1 winner from Saturday's Gr2 Warwick Stakes at Randwick due to the heavy track. The son of Bernardini is now likely to resume in the $350,000 weight-for-age Memsie where he will meet a top quality field that will include star Kiwi mare Silent Achiever, Moment Of Change and Sweet Idea.
