Bring Me The Maid Wins Gr2 Silver Shadow Stakes

Monday, 25th August 2014

At Royal Randwick, Gr1 Golden Slipper-winning Widden Stud stallion Sebring (More Than Ready-Purespeed, by Flying Spur) added a Group success when 3YO filly Bring Me The Maid (Sebring-Maid for Me, by Belong to Me) scored by 1.5-lengths for trainer Peter Moody in the $175,000 Gr2 Silver Shadow Stakes (1200m) for 3YO fillies, over fellow 3YO fillies Memorial (Street Cry-Mnemosyne, by Encosta de Lago) & Clover Lane (O'Reilly-Sequential Charm, by Sequalo). This was an auspicious return for the very smart Bring Me The Maid who took her record to 3 wins (including the Gr2 Magic Night Stakes & Listed VRC Sports Handicap) & 2 placings (including the Gr1 Golden Slipper & Listed St Albans Stakes) from 5 starts for $606,200 earnings. Purchased by the late former champion Australian jockey Roy Higgins and Wylie Dalziel for $105,000 at the 2013 Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale from the draft of Fig Tree Thoroughbreds, Bring Me The Maid hails from the celebrated Gold Vink family of Circles Of Gold, Haradasun, Elvstroem, Starspangledbanner & Polar Success.
