Terravista Wins Gr3 Show County Quality

Monday, 25th August 2014

At Royal Randwick, NZ Westbury Stud shuttler Captain Rio (Pivotal-Beloved Visitor, by Miswaki) added a Group success when 5YO gelding Terravista (Captain Rio-Parfore, by Gold Brose) resumed with an easy 2-length win for trainer Joseph Pride in the $125,000 Gr3 Show County Quality (1200m) for 3YO+, over 4YO Gelding In Cahoots (Bradbury's Luck-Hot Copper, by Rory's Jester) & 4YO entire Bull Point (Fastnet Rock-Rose of Cimmaron, by Bite the Bullet). The was an impressive return for the highly progressive Terravista who took his record to 7 wins (including the Gr3 Liverpool City Cup & Gr3 Southern Cross Stakes) and 1 placing (the Listed Festival Stakes) from 10 starts for $419,305 earnings. "With all due respect to his opposition, he should take care of a field like that but it's nice to see him come back and do it," Pride told TVN. Pride said Terravista would have a break of one month before running in the Gr2 The Shorts (1200m) at Randwick on 20 September. He will then have one more run in Sydney before heading to Melbourne. From the excellent producer Parfore, Terravista is a half- brother to Gr1 winner Tiger Tees, Singapore Horse Of The Year Super Easy, Listed winner Our Lukas (Generous), and a full-brother to promising sprinter Ball Of Muscle.
