Courtney Steps Down As VRC CEO

The Victorian Racing Club (VRC) have announced that David Courtney has resigned as chief executive, effective immediately, reports smh.com.au. Mr Courtney had been on indefinite leave since April to focus health and family matters. "We sincerely thank David for his terrific contribution to the VRC in a relatively short time," said VRC chairman Michael Burn. Mr Burn asked that Mr Courtney's privacy be respected during this time. The VRC Board has commenced the process to secure its next Chief Executive, and will consider internal and external candidates with the assistance of Russell Reynolds Associates. Julian Sullivan will continue in the role of Acting Chief Executive.
